Here is the update on Timothy from his foster mom.
Timothy is such a sweet, smart, generous little boy. Before I even have a chance to give Noah food, Timothy is quick to take even his favorite food, and give it to him. He also shares his favorite toys with Noah and seems to enjoy his company.
Timothy has persevering character. For example, if he doesn’t build his blocks well, or they fall down, he will try other ways until his tower stands the way he likes it. He also loves counting numbers. I have notice him counting the blocks until he gets the right amount. I am so thrilled to see his intelligence grow more and more each day.
Timothy will be getting a new set of HKAFO's (hip, knee, ankle, foot orthotics) for his right leg soon so as to normalize his hip correction. Here is the update on Samuel from his foster home.
Samuel was so happy to celebrate his second birthday this month. We brought out a cake which he first stared at for a long time. All the children sang songs (the Birthday Song) then they all ate the cake together. He was very excited. Samuel is beginning to be potty trained and is getting better and better at using the toilet. His favorite thing to do is to go to preschool. When in the classroom Samuel is drawn to toys of many colors. He has a major crush on toy cars. Sometimes we find Samuel lying in his bed singing, “qi che, qi che (car, car)” He’s so cute! His toy of choice is always a car and he could play with them all day. Samuel also enjoys singing songs and playing games with the other children. He has begun to go into the dining hall with the older children to eat lunch. Samuel still makes a mess when drinking soup with a spoon but he’s getting better at it. Samuel is very skillful at eating steamed baozi (stuffed bun) and dumplings. He’s doing very well and I love to watch him grow.
Samuel was in the hospital recently from his asthma but is now doing great! I think Marcus and I will become familiar with nebulizers and inhalers in the very near future.I also have a link to a video below of Samuel learning to say "please" in order to get a snack. Too cute!
